I'm Kaitlyn, the Raw Food Chef behind Rooted in Raw and I'm so happy you are here!

I've created a series of online cooking courses to offer a platform for you to become more comfortable and confident in raw food cooking! My mission is to help you master a variety of nourishing and creative dishes by learning how to create meals from the ground up using a variety of fresh produce and plant based ingredients.

Whether you're a passionate foodie, a home cook or a plant based professional - these courses are for you! You'll have an opportunity to gain the tools to create wholesome and vibrant meals to support your personal health and the health of the lives around you.

Meet the Instructor & Chef

Kaitlyn Kinder

I'm a Raw Food Chef and owner of Rooted in Raw, a company that offers Plant Based Chef services both locally and worldwide. I'm also a 600 Hour Yoga & Meditation Teacher and Certified Nutrition Consultant based out of Encinitas, California.

Rooted in Raw was born in 2019, after a journey of studying holistic and plant based nutrition, completing a raw food chef certification and working in a local raw food kitchen. I received my certification in raw food cooking through The Seeds of Life Bali and my plant based nutrition certificate through T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies.

My background, training and passion led me to creating many offerings, including owning and running a successful weekly meal delivery service, a 3 day raw food cleanse program, and cooking for retreats and events, serving to the San Diego community and beyond.

In 2021 I expanded online and now offer raw food cooking courses filled with 8 years of plant based cooking experience and 16 years of experience in plant based nutrition. My goal is to help you get more comfortable and confident in raw food cooking, and with doing so, learning how to take control of your own health, starting with the food thats on your plates.
